Violet's Christmas Visit

Hi Everybody!

Remember me? It's Violet! I came to the shelter early in January and my mom and Dad adopted me January 22nd.

First off, my mom and dad are sorry for not sending my spay documents sooner, but I was a big girl and had my surgery. It's ok because their deposit will be used to help other doggies. When I was adopted I was so nervous of everything! My mom says that I was so nervous all the time it made me have to go potty all the time! I didn't know back then that I wasn't supposed to go potty inside so I went all over the carpets! My mom says that's ok because everybody makes mistakes. Since then I have grown up and know that outside is the potty! I was also pretty sick when I came home (my momthinks it had something to do with my slow potty training). I had whip, hook, and round worms =(. We made lots of trips to the bet and they fixed me up and I am all better! Since coming home ( I weighed 37 pounds) I have put on 25 pounds and am up to 62! Mom calls me "the big lady" now! I have really come out of my shell and I am not such a "shy Violet" anymore! I love playing in my big backyard and laying with my big sister Cookie! Even though my brothers are cats they're ok and I get along with them great! I have lots of energy (my dad thinks I am a treeing walker hound or a fox hound) since I'm not so shy anymore, I love chasing squirrels up trees. My mom takes me running with her and that helps use up my energy! Well, I just wanted to let everyone know I am doing great and I am very happy. Thanks for taking care of me and finding me a good family!

*Update: Violet came to the shelter to visit us for Christmas. She looks great and we were thrilled to see her. Thanks to Violet's "parents" for bringing her in.
