To help curb overpopulation tragedy and encourage proper pet care, The Ontario County Humane Society has established a spay/neuter program. The program is available to Ontario County residents who, BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL LIMITATIONS, are unable to have their pets spayed or neutered. This program is available through the generosity of area veterinarians who recognize the need to limit the abundance of unwanted pets. These veterinarians agreed to donate one third of the cost of surgery. The remaining cost is shared between the Ontario County Humane Society and the pet owner. The program covers only spay/neuter costs NOT exams, vaccinations or other medical costs.

If you or somebody you know is on low or limited income, contact the Ontario County Humane Society for further information at (585) 396-4590.
