Porkchop gets a new home and name
Once upon a time in a trailer park in Canandaigua, a little spitz mix was lost. Just behind McDonalds he was living off of scraps and what the children of the park fed him. At night the residents of the park could hear him barking at the trailers for someone to let him in out of the cold. The children saw him eating a porkchop, they decided there could be no other name for him. Hence, Porkchop got his name. One of the residents of the trailer park called us and asked if we could pick-up our noisy little friend. So Porkchop came to live at the Humane Society. He was a good boy that didn't like to be left alone, especially in the kennel. He would fight you if you tried to put him back. He loved being around the staff and would crawl all over us and give tons and tons of kisses. He got adopted to a gentleman, after being here for 5 months. Unfortunately for our baby boy, things didn't work out with his new owner. They returned him to us, and Porkchop was devastated. What had he done, that seemed to make people not love him?? On November 10th he was brought back, this time he had only to wait a month for his new family to arrive.
Mr. and Mrs. Yost had been to the shelter several times, they were looking for thier first ever dog. Both had bad experiences with other dogs in the past and wanted a dog that they could love, and trust. When Mrs. Yost decided to take a closer look at Porkchop and saw how much love he had to give, she was hooked. Now Porkchop has a new home where he is the baby, and a new name, Bandit. We couldn't be happier for both. We would also like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Yost for bringing in Pork..er .. Bandit, for a visit. We always love to see our "kids" again, and know that they are doing well.
