Smokey

I found the shelter very easily and was introduced to Smokey. Well managed facility by the way. Very impressive. Immediately I saw she was a lover kitty giving me nudges and such. On the drive home she was a perfect lady in the carrier, no meowing at all, no vomiting, no fear. Obviously she has been well cared for. My Mom loves her, she did so immediately. I have seldom seem my Mom very happy in her life; Smokey makes her happy. She rolls on her back with feet in air and sleeps next to Mom, holding paws with Mom (hands). Smokey figured out how to climb from the refrigerator to the space on top of the kitchen cabinets, amusing my Mom to no end. As you see Smokey can do as she pleases. I was a little concerned when we saw no wetness in the litter box for the first 24 hours; but she went last night and the box was wet. My Mom said thank you very much. It only has been 2 days, but all is very well. Almost too good to be true.
I am going to take photos of Mom and the cat and put them on Bugsy to advertise your shelter, the positive effects of pets on Seniors, etc. I would recommend putting directions from WEBSTER on your directions page. I can give you the route I took. On the way back, it did miss the cut off for 332 and ended up on the thruway. I will tell folks that Bugsys' Grandmom went to Canandaigua to get the perfect pet, selected via web - write it up. Ed says he is getting traffic from Ontario and Webster and that has to be from the website.

Frankly, I love the cat too. You know how to pick them. Why was this a stray? We will never know! I would search high and low to find a cat like this if it was mine and lost.

Judy

Note: Judy's Mom passed away and Smokey has become a member of Judy's family. There was some adjustment, especially since Bugsy (owner of the Lollypop Farm website) was not overly happy with the new family member.
