Peanuts: A Beagle Success
We
adopted our beagle, Peanuts, back in 1995 from the Humane Society in
Canandaigua. He has been a terrific addition to our family, full of fun
and
affection, very healthy and full of personality - the expressive beagle
vocalizations, but does not howl too much at all. Because he is a beagle
and
has to follow his nose, he's gotten away from us a few times, and everyone
who corraled him in the neighborhood adores him. Other times we've gotten
a
workout chasing after him. Now that he's getting older he stays closer
to
home. He has a couple of playmates that are bigger and younger, and he
loves
playing with them. He's been a great pet, and the vet says he looks great
for eight years old. We think so too.
